Anthony "Tony" Puckett

Anthony Benjamin “Tony” Puckett; 58; went to his heavenly home on January 10, 2022.

His devotion to his family and firm belief in God made him stronger and gave him peace during his life.

Tony was born to his late mother, June (Rickman) and living father, Ray Puckett on May 30, 1963, in Bartlesville, OK. He was a member of the church community in Dewey, OK, at the First Church of God. He graduated from Sooner High School in 1982 and was employed at National Zinc, ODOT, and for Paul’s Wrecker for many years. Tony knew and got to experience a lot of different roles throughout his lifetime.

Tony was blessed with many friends and family that loved him. He married Pat VanAtta on June 2, 1987, in Bartlesville and helped raise two children with patience, discipline, and humility. Lisa Mitchell (husband Justin Mitchell) and Jason VanAtta (wife Amy VanAtta). He loved fishing and hunting, especially with his grand kids and great grand kids. Tony showed his love mostly by giving and helping others.

Tony is survived by his ex-wife; Pat, two stepchildren; Lisa and Jason, grandchildren; Crystal, Johnathan, Cliffa, Joshua, and Jacob, nine great grandchildren; Colby, Chloee, Justice, Cadence, Gracelynn, Braxton, Adelynn, Kimber, and Carsten, three brothers; Brad, Tim, and Chris, three nephews; Jason, Bradley, and Ryan.

He was preceded in death by his mother; June, and nephew; Laren.

Tony would love for anyone to come celebrate his life and share with family and friends on Morch 19th at 10:00 am in the First Church of God in Dewey, OK. Pastor Monte Brunner will officiate the service. The family respectfully declined donations and flowers, but prayers and fond memories are gladly accepted.

Snacks and drinks will be served after the service for anyone that wants to stick around.
