William Boyd “Bill” Stinebuck, 78, of rural Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away at his home, Tuesday night, February 10, 2026.
Bill was born July 25, 1947, to Boyd W. Stinebuck and Reba S. (Thompson) Stinebuck in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up in Bowden, Oklahoma where he attended school until the eighth grade, at which point he transferred to Sapulpa High School, graduating in 1965. Immediately after high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served during the Vietnam era, earning the rank of Sergeant and the Silver Star, Bronze Star with valor and Purple Heart. Upon his honorable discharge in 1971, he attended Northeastern State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree. Bill later graduated with a Master of Science degree from Oklahoma State University in 1980. He married the love of his life, Connie Lee Foster, on July 17, 1981, at Owasso, Oklahoma.
Bill loved to teach, whether in the classroom or in life. He was a scuba instructor at NSU, taught high school and adult education at Sapulpa, Skiatook and Tri County Tech in Bartlesville. He was an avid gun owner, fisherman and fan of OU Sooner football. He loved watching William play soccer and Aurora play video games.
Bill is survived by his wife, Connie of the home; one daughter, Kortney Stinebuck and her spouse, Lorenzo Castillo of Bartlesville; two grandchildren, William Castillo-Stinebuck and Aurora Stinebuck; many aunts and uncles and number adopted family members and close friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and by a granddaughter, Karoline Castillo-Stinebuck.
Funeral service will be 1pm, Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at New Harmony Baptist Church with Pastor Lonnie Hoelscher officiating. Interment will follow on the family property. Visitation will be 10am-7pm, Monday, with family receiving friends from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
