Ted was born on August 24, 1931, in the Bartlesville County Memorial Hospital. Because of his special needs, his mother, Florence (Sweetie-Pie) moved him to various cities, attempting to find a learning environment that fit his needs. His longest stay was in Broken Arrow, OK, where he attended and participated in events at St. Anne Catholic Church.
Ted and his brother were proud to live by themselves with limited supervision. They were frequently seen riding their bikes all over Broken Arrow. They were well known at local fire departments and the Bass Pro Shop. They also participated in the Special Olympics.
Vacation trips included national parks and recreation parks, as well as a trip to Australia.
Needing more help in his personal life, Ted moved to Green Country Village in Bartlesville, OK, in August of 2021. He was well taken care of and loved the staff and the food.
Funeral Mass for Ted will be held on Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM, at the St. Anne Catholic Church, 301 S. 9th St. Broken Arrow, OK 74012. Interment will be at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville, OK. Arrangements are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home in downtown Bartlesville.
