Susie Jane Adair, 78, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at her home Friday afternoon, March 6, 2026, surrounded by loved ones.
Susie was born August 28, 1947, to Thomas L. Ogans and Carrie (Jenkins) Ogans in Bartlesville. She grew up in Dewey, Oklahoma and began her education there, before moving to Bartlesville and graduating with the College High School Class of 1965. After high school, Susie attended Bartlesville Business School, where she honed her secretarial skills and went to work for Philips Petroleum Company. In her 27-year career, Susie held positions in the secretarial pool and the accounting department. On Christmas Eve of 1974, she married the love of her life, Everette Turner Adair. The couple were joined in Holy Matrimony at the Starlight Baptist Church of Bartlesville. The Adairs spent their married life in Bartlesville and were members of New Beginnings Family Church.
Susie was an avid TV watcher. Among her favorite shows were, “In the Heat of the Night”, “Monk”, “NCIS”, “The Andy Griffith Show” and any movie with John Wayne. She enjoyed a Coca Cola and a Pay Day and was known for her wonderful and unique laugh.
Survivors include her husband, Everette of the home; two daughters, Erica Lynn Adair of Claremore, Oklahoma and Jennifer Diane Adair of Bartlesville; four brothers, Keith Ogans and wife, Judy of Oklahoma City, Robert Jenkins of California, Thomas Ogans of Denver, Colorado and Marcus Ogans of Texas; and three grandchildren, Brylinn Turner Scullawl, Ariana Michelle Adair and Caleb Wayne Harris, all of Bartlesville. Susie was preceded in death by her parents; by two brothers, Darren and Tony Ogans and by one sister, Rose (Ogans) Pace.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, March 16, 2026, at Miracle Temple with Pastor Steve Griffith officiating. Interment will be in Bartlesville’s White Rose Cemetery. Service and interment are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
