In Loving Memory of Susan “Dian” Kenton (1951-2026)

Susan Dian Kenton, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2026, at the age of 74. She was born on October 12, 1951, to Homer Allen Hildabrand and Helen Patricia “Pat” Hildabrand in Enid, OK. After graduating from College High in Bartlesville in 1969, she then studied at Northeastern State University and obtained her education degree.

Dian was a social, thoughtful and hardworking person which was expressed in the many organizations she volunteered throughout her life including the Lions Club of Bartlesville, Oklahoma Master Gardeners, Tulsa Area Iris Society, Green County Garden Club, Obedience Training Club of Bartlesville, Mutual Girls Club and Tuesday House Thrift Shop. To honor that history, donations to HeartMatters would be greatly appreciated.

Dian loved to play in the dirt and watch things grow. She kept busy attending her grandchildren’s many activities. She loved to read westerns, sci-fi, and crafts, of all sorts. She was a world traveler visiting Ireland, Thailand, Taiwan, Jamaica, Mexico, Canada and the Azores. Her favorite adventure was going on safari in Tanzania. She was happiest with all her family gathered and was quite fond of taking pictures both in and out of focus. She was a generous gift giver, always thinking of others and providing her grandchildren with an abundance of presents on birthdays and holidays. She will be missed greatly, but her influence will echo through her children and grandchildren in their shared hobbies, love of travel and acts of service.

Dian was preceded in death by her parents Homer and Pat. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David, and their children Christy, Jason (Maryann), Jeremy (Regina) and Michelle; grandchildren Ashlyn, Xavier, Damiyon, Alyssa, Brady, Zaidyn, Griffin, Grant, Sarina, Sergio, Maya, Sofiya, Jackson; two great-grandchildren; and her siblings Linda, Bruce, Keith and Glenn.

Dian’s memorial service is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026 at 10:00 AM in the chapel at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
