Stanley Dean Morris, 76, of Copan, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on January 13th, 2026. He was born on September 14th, 1949, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, to Thomas and Lenora, who preceded him in death.
Stan grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from Copan High School before attending Northeastern Oklahoma A&M and Tulsa Junior College. He went on to serve his country with honor in the United States Navy and was a proud Vietnam Veteran. Throughout his life, Stan worked in many roles that reflected his strong work ethic and love for people—including positions with QuikTrip, food truck catering, truck driving, and many dedicated years at the Copan Truck Stop, where he took great pride in his work.
He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend whose kindness, humor, and steady presence will be deeply missed. Known for his generous heart and devotion to his family, Stan loved animals, especially his dogs. His children often teased him about treating his beloved Bear better than them. His favorite hobbies included throwing Bear a ball, fishing, and playing golf. If the weather was warm and pleasant, you could always find him doing one of the three.
Stan was passionate about sports—football, baseball, bowling, golfing, NASCAR—and especially fishing. He loved watching his grandchildren in their activities and continued attending Copan football and baseball games even when he had no grandkids on the team.
He served his community through Copan’s local city council and was active in his church. Above all, he loved the Lord and his family. He cherished time spent reading scripture and listening to gospel music, leaving behind countless memories that will continue to guide and comfort those who loved him. Though our hearts are broken, we find peace knowing his love remains with us always.
Stan was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Morris and Lenora Baker; his stepparents, Pauline Morris and Clyde Baker; siblings, Richard Beams, Raycee Baker, Tommy Ray Humble, and Jim Humble; and his son, Zachary Steve Morris.
He is survived by his loyal dog, Bear; his children, Robin Woolsey and her husband Dan, Monica Cieminski and her husband David, Jordan Morris, and Thomas Morris; and his grandchildren Dustin Woolsey and his wife Julie, Shawn Kramer, Skye Kramer, Jesse Woolsey, David Cieminski Jr., Aiden Morris, Bailey Cieminski, Autumn Cohea, Alayna Cohea, Keithie Cohea III, and Dresden Cieminski and his great grandchildren, Emery, Serenity, Micheal, and Rylin. He is also survived by his brothers Ken Morris and wife Connie, Tommy Joe Morris, Kenny Humble, and Jerry Humble, along with numerous other cherished relatives and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Stan lived a life marked by service, loyalty, and love. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
