Sally Canfield

Sally A. Canfield, 75, Bartlesville, OK passed away Tuesday evening, May 4, 2021 at her home, surrounded by family.

Sally was born August 9, 1945 at Bartlesville to George D. Morrison and Maribel (Morgan) Morrison.  She was a graduate of Bartlesville College High, Class of 1963.  Sally graduated from Northeastern State University with a BA in Education in 1967.  She moved to Tulsa, OK; Casper, WY and then to Colorado, eventually settling in Cortez, where she taught Special Education for 14 years.  While residing and working in Cortez, she furthered her education, earning her master’s degree in Education at Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado.  Sally was a member of St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Cortez and was active in the Altar Guild.

She returned to her hometown of Bartlesville in 2006 and was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, where she was active in the Vestry Committee and the Altar Guild.  Sally was also a member of the Elks Lodge.  She loved volunteering at Kane Elementary School and at Concern Child Learning Center.

Survivors include her son, Blake Canfield of Bartlesville; a sister, Pam Pofahl of Bartlesville; one grandson, Zekiel Biard of Cortez, CO; a granddaughter, Clarissa Dukeminier of Ft. Collins, CO; one great-grandson, Ayden Biard of Cortez, CO; a nephew, Morgan Pofahl of Tulsa, OK and a niece, Sarah Morrison of St. Petersburg, FL.  Sally is preceded in death by her parents, George and Maribel Morrison; by her husband, Craig Canfield; by her daughter, Melinda Dukeminier (nee Canfield) and a brother, Patrick Morrison.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church with Fr. Nick Phares officiating.  Sally’s family suggests donations in her memory be made to St. Luke’s Episcopal Church Backpacks for Students.  Cremation and services are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home & Cremation Service.  To leave an online condolence, visit www.honoringmemories.com.
