Roy Davis

Sixty-Seven years old Vinita Resident Roy Eugene Davis passed away on August 08, 2020, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born April 18, 1953, in Vinita, Oklahoma the son of Raymond Clyde Davis and Lillian Lorene “Wall” Davis. Roy was raised and attended Vinita, High School shortly after graduating he join the US Army where he served his country in Vietnam. He returned to the United States and made his home in California where attended some college and worked. Roy decided to move back to Vinita and was employed at Eastern State Hospital and then transferred to the North Eastern Oklahoma State Department of Corrections until his retirement. He enjoyed watching sports, westerns, listening to music, and visiting with family and friends.

Roy was preceded by his mother and father, brothers Raymond Jr., Stevie, Ronnie, and Christopher Davis.

His surviving family includes his wife of the home Celestia A. Riley, two daughters Kai Davis of Rancho Cucamonga, California and Cierra Riley of Omaha Nebraska; two sons James Davis of Vinita, and Christopher Riley of Claremore; five grandchildren; three brothers Norman, and Kenneth Davis of Vinita and Donzell Falrner of Kansas City; four sisters Elizabeth Hines of Kansas City, Marilyn Bell of Denver, Lori Weston of Kansas City and Kerry Weston of Kansas City;   numerous aunts, uncles, and a host of friends.

A family visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2020, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm in the Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, funeral services will be Thursday, August 13, 2020, 2:00 pm at Fairview Cemetery, Vinita, Oklahoma.
