Robert “Bob” Davis Schiermeier, 82, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on September 8, 2026, at Ascension St. John Jane Phillips Medical Center in Bartlesville.

Bob was born on August 22, 1944, to Knapel Schiermeier and Minerva (Kieselhorst) Schiermeier in Alton, Illinois. He grew up in Alton and graduated from Alton High School. Bob went on to attend college in Springfield, Missouri, at Southwest Missouri State (now Missouri State), where he graduated with his bachelor’s degree. It was also at college where he met his future wife, Cheryl.

Bob went on to have a lifelong career with Phillips 66, working as a credit analyst. Bob and Cheryl enjoyed traveling. The couple traveled the world from Fiji to Germany and Uruguay to Alaska with several countries in between. Bob was an avid skydiver and participated in local skydiving events for over 45 years and Cheryl would cook for the participants at the events. On Bob’s 72nd birthday, he made his 7,200th parachuting jump. Bob also enjoyed scuba diving when visiting the ocean.

Bob will be missed by all that knew him and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Knapel and Minerva Schiermeier; his wife: Cheryl Schiermeier; and his brother: Bill Schiermeier.

Those left to cherish the memory of Robert include his son: Marc Schiermeier; and his nephews: Shane Schiermeier and Clayton Schiermeier.

A Celebration of Life for Robert will be held on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Chris Humby officiating.
