Richard Kenneth Jordan, Jr., age 77 of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away Saturday morning, March 21, 2026, at his home.

Dick, as he was affectionately known, was born November 12, 1948, to Richard Kenneth Jordan, Sr. and Thelma (Tilbury) Jordan in Fairview, Oklahoma. He grew up in Kingfisher, Oklahoma and received his education there, graduating from Kingfisher High School Class of 1967. In 1968, Dick was called up by the U.S. Army and served his country in Vietnam, where he was wounded and subsequently received his honorable discharge. He had attained the rank of sergeant and was recipient of the Purple Heart. Dick returned to Kingfisher and became store manager of Bill’s IGA Supermarket, until 1980. At that time, he went to work for Farm Fresh Dairy and Bakery Company, supervising sales in Kansas, Oklahoma and Texas. In 2000, when Farm Fresh was purchased by Hiland Dairy Company, Dick retired, only to spend the next five years in oil & gas well purchasing. In 2006, he was employed by Bankston Nissan of Lewisville, Texas, where he handled new car sales, new car porter and inventory manager. By 2012, Dick tried another turn at retirement and moved to Bartlesville. His love for people landed employment with the Osage Casino where he worked until 2014. On January 7, 2015, Dick went to work for Cherokee Casino in Ramona, Oklahoma.

Dick and Mary Adkins were joined in marriage on June 5, 1990, in Bedford, Texas. The couple made their home in Bartlesville since 2012. Dick was a great husband, dad, and grandpa (Pop). He loved dancing and music, especially rock’n’roll. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran; an avid Oklahoma Sooners’ fan; a collector of Hot Wheels, Star Wars and records. Dick liked to play the slots and was a very organized and neat man, known for his tremendous work ethic.
