Matthew Zachary Hannah, 51, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away unexpectedly on December 18, 2025, in Mt. Vernon, Texas.
Matthew was born on April 22, 1974, in Memphis, Tennessee, to William Arthur Hannah and Sherlyn (Grafton) Hannah. He grew up and graduated from Emerson High School in Emerson, Arkansas, near Magnolia. After high school, Matthew went on to attend Southern Arkansas University Tech college in Camden, Arkansas, earning his associate degree in drafting and design. He worked in transportation as a truck driver for over 20 years. He was most recently working for Creek Carriers.
On November 24, 2025, Matthew married the love of his life, Rosetta Jean Mullins and they made their home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Matthew was a downright country boy that lived a simple life. He was an outdoorsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing. In his free time, he enjoyed hanging out with family and friends, while cooking, having BBQ, and entertaining. He loved family and fellowship and enjoying a few beers. Matthew loved music, especially his favorite artist, Waylon Jennings, and he loved alligators. In his semi-truck, his CB handle was “Gator”. Those that knew Matthew knew that his tough demeaner and burly build were no judge of his character because Matthew could be very compassionate and helpful to others in need. Matthew will be missed by all that loved him.
Matthew is preceded in death by his father: William Arthur Hannah and his grandparents: “Pa” Daniel Tate “June” Grafton, Jr. and “Ma” Effie Auline “Pete” (Jameson) Grafton.
Those left to cherish the memory of Matthew include his mother: Sherlyn Hannah; his wife: Rosetta Hannah; his children: Ethan Hannah, Coty Hopper, Lisa Marie Lindsey, Angel Spray, and Rochelle Spray; and his brother: Joshua Zane Hannah.
Memorial services for Matthew are currently pending. Arrangements are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Bartlesville. Online condolences may be made at www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
