Mary Dolores
DeLapo
Jan 10, 1975 — Jun 30, 2026
The family of Mary Dolores DeLapo used to say all the time that “Mary was an angel on Earth, who could do no wrong, and would fly directly to Heaven one day." Mary truly had a kind heart and a child-like spirit. A childhood illness in her toddler years left Mary “developmentally disabled.”
For most of Mary’s life, she’s been a happy 6 or 7 year old child in the body of an adult. Mary loved watching cartoons, listening to music, coloring, and playing with her many stuffed animals, whom she called her “friends.” She loved to go shopping, to lunch, and on trips to the zoo and other places with her housemates and caregivers from Premier Community Services.
Sadly, cancer ended Mary’s life very quickly at 51 years old. Mary’s surviving brothers know that she is now reunited with her father and mother in Heaven. Mary Dolores DeLapo was preceded in death by her father, Frank N. DeLapo Jr in June of 2022 and her mother, Josephine Ann DeLapo in August of 1998. Mary will be deeply missed by her older brother, Frank, and his family in Sunnyvale, California, and her younger brother, Stephen and his family in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
Arrangements are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service of downtown Bartlesville. To leave an online condolence for Mary, visit www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
