Marilynn Sue Keefer 1942 - 2025

Marilynn Keefer (nee Morhart), 83, of Bartlesville, OK, died peacefully at her home on October 9, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Tulsa, OK, in 1942, to Ellis and Elizabeth Morhart as the second of five children. Marilynn attended Marquette School and Monte Casino high school before earning her Masters Degree in Library Science from the University of Tulsa. She was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

Marilynn was married to John Keefer in 1962, and they had four children. They settled and raised their family in Tulsa before moving to Bartlesville, OK, in 1989. They built a new home there together and fully embraced the ranch life. She started a cow/calf operation, KMK Cattle Company, in 1996 with her father and son and received her Master Cattleman’s certification. She served as a docent at the Tallgrass Prairie and at Woolroc for many years. Marilynn will be remembered as an avid reader, lifelong learner, travel buff, loyal friend and beloved mother, grandmother, and sister.

Marilynn was preceded in death by her husband: John; and is survived by her sisters: Anne Simms and Margaret Morhart; her four children: Brian, Gretchen, Allison, and Bethany; and her nine grandchildren.

Marilynn’s funeral service will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. John Before the Latin Gate Catholic Church in Bartlesville, OK, with Father Leo Morales officiating.
