Linda Hall
Shaw
Aug 7, 1947 — Jun 25, 2026
Linda Hall McInnis Shaw, 78, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 25th with her son Chris by her side. She was born on August 7th, 1947, in Fayetteville, North Carolina to Duncan and Anne McInnis. She and her younger brother Dick were involved in just about everything in Fayetteville with a wide group of friends and family. One of her favorite things to do was to drive down to Myrtle Beach with her friends and this is where she met and started dating what would end up being the love of her life, Malcolm Shaw, also from Fayetteville. It started when he asked her to dance at Sonny’s Pavilion in the summer of 1964 and culminated when they got married on August 14th, 1966. This began the wonderful adventure of their life together.
They moved throughout the South during Malcolm’s career with Phillips Petroleum before landing in Bartlesville in 1980. Linda worked at the Research Center for Phillips after her boys were grown, retiring in 1998.
Linda was first and foremost a wife & mother. Family vacations to the Carolina beaches were at least an annual event for her extended family where they would spend a week on the beach enjoying the weather and catching up. She also spent countless hours ferrying her boys to every sporting event they were involved in as well as in the bleachers cheering them on. Everyone who bought something from the concession stands of Doenges Stadium in the late 80’s probably bought it from her and her friends.
She & Malcolm has a wide group of friends they spent time with, but none were closer that Mary & Jim Gillet with whom they shared one of the few “neighbor gates” still left in Bartlesville. Almost every day, Mary & Linda could be found catching up over a cup of coffee in the mornings on one porch or the other.
Linda is survived by her two sons, Chris Shaw (Bartlesville) and Curtis Shaw (Dallas, TX) and her two grandchildren, Tynan Shaw (Boulder, CO) and Tierney Shaw (Lawrence, KS). She is also survived by her brother Dick McInnis (Raleigh, NC) and many nieces and nephews.
Services are entrusted to Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Private family services will be held at a later date. To send an online condolence, visit www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
