Letty Warner-Jones

On Wednesday, April 30, 2025, I. Letty Warner-Jones passed away peacefully at her residence in Kansas City, Missouri, at the age of 103.

Letty was born on August 6, 1921, in Silver City, Iowa, to Bert Fritz and Pearl Elizabeth (Haines) Fritz. Letty’s parents farmed and lived in numerous southwest Iowa communities before settling at the Haines family home in Silver City, where Letty grew up and graduated high school from.

Letty married Robert R. Warner and from their marriage, the couple had a daughter together, Kathy. They spent several years together until Robert’s passing in 1968.

On December 30, 1995, Letty married John W. Jones in Bartlesville, OK. The couple was active at the United Methodist Church. The couple remained married until John’s passing in 2009.

Letty worked at Phillips 66 Petroleum, working in the marketing department. She also enjoyed volunteering at Jane Phillips Hospital in Bartlesville, OK.

Letty is preceded in death by her parents: Bert and Pearl Fritz; her first husband: Robert R. Warner; her second husband: John W. Jones; and her siblings: Homer Fritz, Leona (Fritz) Miskimins, and Wayne “Jack” Fritz.

Those left to cherish the memory of Letty are her daughter: Kathy Velander of Kansas City, MO, along with other family members and many friends.

A visitation with the family is planned for Tuesday, May 6, 2025, starting at 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Independence, Kansas, at 3:00 PM. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
