Kathleen "Kathy" Fay Neal

Kathleen “Kathy” Fay Neal, 62, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away on the evening of Monday, October 6, 2025, peacefully at her home with her closest loved ones by her side.

Kathy was born on August 27, 1963, as the only daughter to Elmer Neal and Karen (Sanders) Neal in Bakersfield, California. She grew up and graduated from high school in Bakersfield and then went on to work as a substitute teacher. In 1994, Kathy’s parents moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where Kathy would also relocate to. She worked as a dispatcher at the Oklahoma City Police Department for several years, as well as caring for her mother until her passing in 2002. Kathy eventually quit working due to the severity of her lupus and moved to Bartlesville, OK, with her aunt Judy in 2021.

Kathy loved to talk about the Bible, knew scripture very well, and enjoyed spreading the word of the gospel. She was always willing to listen and give anyone the benefit of the doubt. People gravitated toward her for her kind and generous soul. Kathy enjoyed planting flowers, talking with her friends on the phone, and playing intense, competitive Uno games with her aunt. She also loved her yorkie, Toto, that she found when he was about six months old and adopted him. Toto lived a long life of 20 years with Kathy until his passing earlier this year. Kathy will be missed by those who loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents: Elmer and Karen Neal.

Kathy is survived by her stepmother: Pauline Neal of Dell City, OK; her aunt: Judy Opie of Bartlesville, OK; her cousins: Robin Matthews of Bartlesville, OK, and Tammy Sprague of Bartlesville, OK; her many nieces and nephews; her close friends: Traci, Teresa, Randi, Joyce, and Lana, as well as many other friends.
