Karen Amy Shaw

Karen “Amy” Shaw, 65, passed away at The Journey Home in Bartlesville, OK on Saturday, March 9, 2024.

Amy was born October 27, 1958, in Washington DC to Robert and Mary Katherine (Hawkins) Shaw.  Amy grew up and attended school in Washington DC. She completed her education at Ohio State University with a Masters in English.  Amy lived in Columbus, Ohio for a while, then Phoenix, Arizona, before settling in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.  

Amy was an animal lover, especially her cats.  Amy loved to read Nancy Drew Mysteries while sitting in the sun, eating chocolate, and drinking coffee.

She was survived by one son, Dakota Hayes of Chicago, IL; one sister-in-law, Katie Shaw and one niece, Lindsay Magnusson.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Shaw, one brother; Webb Shaw.
