Julie Michelle Long

On the morning of July 22, 2025, Julie Michelle Long, 58, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully with her family by her side at Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa.

Julie was born on July 29, 1966, in Bartlesville to Timothy Allen Smith and Susie (Mader) Smith. She spent the early years of her childhood in London, England, where her father worked for Phillips 66. These formative years abroad were filled with adventure and culture, shaping the kind and curious spirit that would define her life. The family returned to Bartlesville, where Julie graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1984.

In September 1991, Julie married the love of her life, Gary Long. Together they raised their son, Steven Allen Long, and co-owned and operated C&M Collision Repair Center in Bartlesville—working side by side as partners in both life and business.

Julie had a deep love for the simple joys of life. She cherished shopping trips, quiet moments with a good book, and the devoted companionship of her beloved Shih Tzus, Angel and Chloe. Above all, her greatest joy came from time spent with her family. Julie had a vibrant sense of humor, a generous heart, and a warmth that made everyone feel like family. To know her was to love her.

Julie was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Susie Smith; her stepson, Brian Timothy Long; and her step-granddaughter, Star Long.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Gary Long; her son, Steven Long, and his wife, Caroline; her father, Timothy Smith; her stepson, Kyle Long, his wife, Beth, and their son, Felix; her step-daughter-in-law, Renee (Selene) Long; her loving sister, Brenda Majors, and husband, Jim; her nephew, Justin Majors, and his son, Jacob; her niece, Tori Reedy, and husband, Nathan; as well as her sister-in-law Lynne (Long) Aubrey, and husband, Charles.

Julie’s love, laughter, and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A memorial service for Julie will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home with Lynne (Long) Aubrey officiating.
