Joy Valencia Holliday, 75, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away Wednesday morning, April 8, 2026, at Heritage Villa Nursing Center of Bartlesville.
Joy was born November 10, 1950, in Bartlesville to Arthur Howell and Janice (Minor) Howell. She grew up in Ramona and graduated from Ramona High School, Class of 1968. She and Earl Ray Holliday were wed in 1969 in Miami, Oklahoma. Joy and Ray made Bartlesville and then Ramona their home for many years. She was a resident of Heritage Villa the past 4 years.
When Joy was young, she could play the guitar and piano, by ear. Ray was a long-haul truck driver and Joy enjoyed making several trips with him. She was a homemaker and a member of Ramona First Baptist Church. Known for her seamstress skills, Joy loved to sew and craft. She was an avid reader and loved going to garage sales. Joy was an excellent mother and big sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Delaney Holliday of Bixby, Oklahoma and one sister, Jennifer Mason and her husband, Steve of Ramona. Joy is preceded in death by her mother, Janice in 2019 and her father, Arthur in 2018; by her husband, Ray in April of 2013; by her son, Jason Holliday in 1996 and by one brother, Gregory Howell in 1980.
Joy’s cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Her family will hold a private vigil and she will be laid to rest in Ramona Cemetery.
