Jesse Bushyhead

Jesse David Bushyhead, lifetime Grove resident, passed away Monday, June 15, 2020.  Jesse was born in Claremore in 1965 to Jack and Freda Madean (Payton) Bushyhead, one of nine children.  He graduated from Grove High School in 1983 and from NSU in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Sciences.  Majority of his career he worked as a security guard.  He was a security guard at Indigo Sky Casino for 3 years, and as of February a Gold Star Security Guard. Jesse was the most trustworthy worker, going beyond what his work required.  A man of integrity.  Jesse loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating.  He also enjoyed attending Delaware Baptist Church.

Family was important to Jesse.  Every birthday party, holiday, or family gathering you could count on Jesse being there.  If you needed anything, Jesse was there.  In fact, Jesse was the main care giver for his mother, Freda, until her passing in 2011.  He was a blessing to his family.

Jesse leaves many loving memories with his family, brother Jack Bushyhead, Jr. (Keita), sisters: Leona Forrester (Clyde), Charlotte Earnest (Mark), Lou Ella Weirich, and Sarah Watts, and many other family members and friends.  He is preceded in death by his parents Jack and Freda, brothers Gordon and John, and sister Jaxine.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, June 18, 2020 at the Worley Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.  Graveside services will be 2 p.m., Friday, June 19, 2020 at Duffield Cemetery in Jay with Pastor Gary Bishop officiating.  Online condolences may be made at www.honoingmemories.com or on the Worley Luginbuel Facebook page.
