Helga Helen Lukowitsch

Helga Helen Lukowitsch, 85, of Bartlesville, OK, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2023, at The Journey Home.

Helga was born June 17, 1937, in Oppein, Germany to Georg Ferdinant Bily and Klara Elisabeth Bily.  She married Arnold Lukowitsch on May 11, 1957, in Salzgitter, Germany. 

Helga was a swimmer in her older years and targeted swimming as many miles as she could.  The Lukowitschs came to Bartlesville in November of 1959. After Arnold became ill, Helga was his caregiver for last 15 years of his life.  Arnold preceded his wife in death, August 17, 2014.

Helga was a loving wife and mother.  She was very giving and gave more to others than to herself.  She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by two daughters, Heidi Irene Lukowitsch of Austin, TX and Christine Anette Mathey of McKinney, TX; one son, Martin Arnold Lukowitsch of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Edith Maria Schutz and Irene Ursula Vogle, both of Salzgitter, Germany; a granddaughter, Rachel Marie Mathey and two grandsons, Christopher John Mathey and Brandon Kenneth Mathey, all of McKinney, TX.

Helga was preceded by her parents and her husband.

Helga will be privately interred at White Rose Cemetery in Bartlesville, under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
