G. B. Brown, Jr.

G. B. Brown Jr., age 88, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 29, 2025. He was born on April 4, 1937 to the late George and Jo (Burson) Brown in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.

G. B. Jr. spent most of his life in Bartlesville. He and his wife, Judith Brown, both attended College High School and were married in July of 1960, sharing over 65 years together. They built their home and raised their family in the Bartlesville community. During high school, G. B. Jr. played offensive guard on the football team. He was also a proud member of the Local #430 Plumbing and Pipefitting Union for more than 65 years.

G. B. Jr. is survived by his wife, Judith Brown; his sons Lance (Sandra) Brown and Jason (Jennifer) Brown; and his daughter Teena (Martin) Moggre. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with his brothers Gary and Galen (Dianna) Brown. He was preceded in death by his son, Brett Alan Brown, his parents George and Jo Brown and sister-in-law Gladys Brown.

He will be remembered for his passion for racing micro midget cars—his well-known car, number 59, was called The Purple People Eater. He earned international championships on several occasions and also enjoyed running stock cars. Beyond racing, he was known for his exceptional skill in repairing and restoring just about anything.

Visitation for family and friends will take place 9am-8pm on Tuesday, December 2.

Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home 710 S. Dewey Ave. Bartlesville, OK 74003, with family receiving guests from 6-8pm. Funeral Service will take place at 2pm on Wednesday, December 3 at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home with Pastor Van Longbons officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery 4200 Nowata Rd. Bartlesville, OK 74006, under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home.
