Elaine C Ryan passed away peacefully on June 29, 2026, having reached the remarkable age of 103. She was born on October 30, 1922, on her parent’s ranch in Littleton, Colorado. She was the 9th of 10 children born to Victor and Amelia Christensen. She graduated from Littleton High School and the University of Denver.
Following his service during WWII, she married Robert S Ryan in Denver, Colorado. They relocated to Bartlesville, Oklahoma where Robert worked for Phillips Petroleum Company for his entire career, including assignments in Illinois and California, but the majority of their years together were in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. They had two children, a daughter Julie and a son Scott.
Elaine was a long-time member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church and Hillcrest Country Club in Bartlesville.
Elaine is survived by her son Scott, who lives in his house at The Home of Hope in Vinita Oklahoma, and many nieces and nephews. In addition to loving family members, she had many wonderful caregivers in the last years of her life notably, Sandra Bale, who made Elaine a part of her family.
There will be a viewing from 4:00-6:30pm on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home located at 710 S. Dewey in Bartlesville. Arrangements are pending for a memorial service and interment at Bear Canon Cemetery near Sedalia, Colorado. Arrangements are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service of downtown Bartlesville. Online condolences may be left at www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
