Charles Richard York, 86, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away at his home early Sunday morning, July 26, 2026.

Charles was born August 30, 1939, in Coffeyville, Kansas to Fred Lee York and Gladys (Gregory) York. He grew up in Coffeyville and attended school there. Charles married Juanita Rodriguez on December 31, 1986, in Coffeyville.

Charles worked as a maintenance man for ARC Group Homes, Inc., now Ability Works, for many years. He made Bartlesville his home for the last several years.

Survivors include a son, Richard Michael York and his wife, Charleen of Slidell, Louisiana; a brother, Larry York of Nowata, Oklahoma; one sister, Becky Lowry and her husband, Ernie of Nowata; three granddaughters, Shelby Artherton of Bartlesville, Michele York and Tori York, both of Slidell, Louisiana; and two great-grandchildren, Leland Artherton of Bartlesville and Rylan Esperance of Slidell. Charles was preceded by his parents; by his wife, Juanita, and by a sister, Emalie Worthington.

Viewing and visitation will be 9am-5pm, Wednesday, July 29,2026, at Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home of Bartlesville, with the family receiving guest from 11am – 1pm. Charles will be cremated and laid to rest in Calvary Cemetery of Coffeyville, Kansas. The family suggests that friends who wish should donate to the American Cancer Society in memory of Charles.
