Carolyn B. Eve, 92, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma passed away at Brookdale Bartlesville South on Tuesday afternoon, August 19, 2025.
Carolyn was born May 25, 1933, to Walter Bumgarner and Nina (Davis) Bumgarner at Delaware, Oklahoma. She grew up in Delaware, attending both Delaware and Nowata public schools and graduating from Nowata High School. After graduating from high school, Carolyn married Robert D. Eve on July 27, 1952, in Waco, Texas. The couple would reside in several locations because of Bob’s Air Force and later, banking careers. Carolyn’s life took her to Louisiana, Massachusetts, Nebraska, Arkansas, and Las Vegas, Nevada. The Eves moved to Nowata, Oklahoma in the late 1990s and in 2019, moved to Bartlesville.
Carolyn’s grandchildren held her greatest passion and love. She also loved to sew and made the best homemade Mexican food and pies. For most of her career, Carolyn was accounts payable supervisor for Sunrise Hospital, Las Vegas, Nevada.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Rebecca Eve and her companion, Jim Edens of Bartlesville; four grandchildren, Carrie Sherman and husband, Ted of Westerly, Rhode Island, Bobby Kirkendoll and wife, McCall of Ridgecrest, California, Raina Hodson and husband, Breck of Las Vegas and Kyle Vaughn and wife, Lindsey, also of Las Vegas; nine great-grandchildren; one aunt, June White; and two nieces, Kim Glenn and husband, John and Elisa Reid and husband, Rob, all of Nowata. She was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Robert D. Eve on March 30, 2015, and by a sister, Janet Irelan.
Funeral services will be held 2pm, Friday, August 29,2025, in the Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home Chapel with Kyle Vaughn officiating. Interment will follow in Nowata’s Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Visitation will be Thursday, August 28, 2025, from 9am-8pm, with the family receiving guests from 6-8pm at the funeral home.
