Caroline Rae (Fusselman) Surritte, a former Bartlesville resident, passed away from this life to the next on January 2, 2026.
Caroline was born on August 31, 1932, at the Bartlesville Hospital to Raymond “Ray” Fusselman and Ora Blanche (Watkins) Fusselman. She grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from Bartlesville High School. Caroline was the middle child, with an older sister, and a younger brother, whom she was very close to. Caroline loved her close-knit family and her several very close friends. She rode a pinto pony named Tony, she was an avid bowler and spent extra time roller skating with friends while growing up.
Caroline was a skilled and talented portrait artist, and her art skills later dominated her hobbies. She earned hundreds of show ribbons for her art. Caroline’s art can be found hanging in business and homes throughout Oklahoma and Texas. In her free time later in life, Caroline enjoyed fishing and visiting the casino.
Caroline’s family was her biggest source of pride. She never turned her back on anyone she could help. Caroline had four children, one adopted son, four grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
Caroline was preceded in death by her sister: Jacqueline Throckmorton; and her younger brother: John Fusselman. All of us who called her mom will miss her zest for life desperately!
Arrangements are under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service of downtown Bartlesville. Online condolences for Caroline may be made at www.honoringmemoriesbartlesville.com.
