BJ Radford, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away Thursday night, September 17, 2026, at the Journey Home, leaving behind a lifetime of memories that will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Born Bobby Joe Radford, Jr. on October 13, 1962, in Pawhuska, Oklahoma to Bobby Joe Radford, Sr. and Joyce Lovell (Arnce) Radford.

BJ shared 27 years together with the love of his life, Jeannie Radford, and they were married for 23 of those years. They were married on January 11, 2003, in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, and built their lives together in Copan, Oklahoma, surrounded by family, friends, laughter, and countless memories.

BJ had a way of making everyone feel like family. He loved to entertain and could turn an ordinary day into a gathering filled with good food, stories, laughter, and memories. There wasn’t much he couldn’t smoke on the grill or smoker, and his deer camps were legendary. He loved hunting and fishing, but more than anything, he loved the people who gathered around him.

You could often find BJ on Copan Lake, where he spent countless days catching fish—and just as importantly, catching up with friends along the way. The lake, the deer camps, backyard gatherings, and family get-togethers became the backdrop for so many memories that will never fade.

BJ leaves behind his beloved wife, Jeannie Radford, and his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his daughters, Kaylee Murray, her husband Christopher Murray, and their daughter Aliea Murray; and Nevaeh, Landry, Stella, and Olivia Radford. He is also survived by Joseph Radford of Copan, Oklahoma, and his daughter Chloe Radford. BJ had a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him great joy and added countless special memories to his life.

BJ also leaves behind his brothers and sisters, Dennis Radford and his wife Rhonda Radford of Ochelata, Oklahoma; Chris and Sissy Letzkus of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Tammy Wilson of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Michelle Radford of Pawhuska, Oklahoma; and his brother Timothy Miles of Ponca City, Oklahoma.

BJ also leaves behind nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and countless friends who were never made to feel like anything less than family. His love extended far beyond those connected to him by blood. If BJ loved you, you were family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Joyce Lovell Arnce; his father, Bobby Joe Radford; his sisters, Melissa Deathridge and DeAnn Radford; his great-grandmother, Bertie Arnce; and his great-niece, Audrey Letzkus.

BJ worked for 4G Oil & Gas LLC, with Josh Griggs of Dewey, Oklahoma. His work, friendships, and the people he met along the way were another important part of the life he built.

There are simply too many memories to count—days spent hunting, nights around the deer camp, afternoons on Copan Lake, smoked meat shared with friends and family, laughter around the table, and all the little moments that became the stories everyone will tell for years to come.

A lifetime of memories was made with BJ by nieces, nephews, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends. No matter how much time passes, those memories will never fade.

BJ may no longer be sitting around the fire, casting a line into Copan Lake, preparing another meal, or telling stories with the people he loved, but his presence will continue to live on in every story told, every tradition carried forward, and every memory shared.

His greatest legacy is the love he gave so freely and the family he built—not only by blood, but by the people he welcomed into his life and treated as his own.

Rest easy, BJ. Your campfire will never be the same without you, and neither will Copan Lake. You will be loved, remembered, and missed for generations to come.
