Beebe Stephenson passed away on January 17, 2026, in Tulsa, OK, surrounded by loved ones.
Beebe was born in McAlester, OK, on August 19, 1946, to Royce and Ofa Stephenson. Beebe moved to Blackwell, OK, at a young age where he graduated from Blackwell High School in 1964 and Southwestern OK State University, Weatherford.
He proudly served his country as a Navy Corpsman stationed at Cherry Point, NC, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and Vietnam during the war. Beebe returned to the United States and raised three great sons in Bartlesville, OK.
Beebe formed many lasting friendships in Bartlesville and demonstrated his commitment to the community through dedicated civic service, including involvement with the Bartlesville Public School Foundation, the Bartlesville Board of Adjustment, the American Cancer Society, the American Legion, and others. He was a member of East Cross Methodist Church. His interests included fly fishing, collecting antique fishing tackle, a deep passion for history, Oklahoma Sooners sports, and telling the most eccentric stories.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Leo Dennington.
Beebe is survived by his wife, Sheila, mother-in-law Faye Dennigton; three sons, Todd and wife Dina, of McKinney, TX, Sam and wife RoseEllen, of Denver, CO, Jake and wife Shelby, of Edmond, OK; grandchildren Hayden, Bennett, Maggie, Vincent, Sofia, Rory, and Emma. Sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Phyllis and Darryel Reigh of Oklahoma City, OK, and Marilyn and Fred Schmitt of Atlanta, GA.
A celebration of life will be held at East Cross Methodist Church in Bartlesville, OK, on February 20th at 1PM. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society and the Washington County SPCA.
