Babe Lea Addington, 91, of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, passed away Tuesday evening, May 6, 2025, Medicalodges Dewey.

Babe was born February 27, 1934, in Delaware, Oklahoma to Clinton Arthur Rowley and Margaret (Heckathorn) Rowley. She graduated from Delaware High School and was Salutatorian of her graduating class and point guard on the Lady Warriors basketball team. Upon graduation, Babe went to work for Phillips Petroleum, starting out in the secretarial pool and retiring as Executive Secretary to the Vice President of Human Resources.

She married the love of her life, Jarold Warren Addington on April 8, 1953, at the Delaware Church of God. Babe was determined to get a college education and in 1984 received her master’s degree from Bartlesville Wesleyan College. She was a member of Delaware Church of God and later in life, Bartlesville Disciples of Christ. Babe was a terrific seamstress, and great interior designer and avid ballroom dancer. She loved her family and cherished her children and grandchildren.

Survivors include her sons, Jarold Wayne Addington and his wife, Gladys of Florissant, Missouri and Billy Joe Addington and his wife, Janet of Talala, Oklahoma; a sister, Karen Sue Fuller and husband, James of Pinehurst, Idaho, as well as five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Babe was preceded in death by her parents; by her husband, Jarold; by a son, David Lee Addington on July 14, 2023, and by a brother, Charles Clinton Rowley.

Funeral service will be held at 2pm, Monday, May 12, 2025, in the chapel of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Little officiating. Interment will follow in Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 11, 2025, from 1-6pm and her family will receive guests from 4-6pm. The family suggests donations in memory of Babe to Martha’s Task, 718 S.
