Adus John Hurd, Jr.

Adus John Hurd, Jr., 77 of Bartlesville, passed away Monday morning, December 1, 2025, at his home.

John was born January 26, 1948, in Wynona, Oklahoma to Adus John Hurd, Sr. and Roseana (Kendrick) Hurd. He served as a member of the US Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict from 1967-1971, attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Upon his honorable discharge, John returned to Oklahoma and worked for the Oklahoma Corporation Commission as a landman. He married Terrie Sue Elliott on July 15, 2005. She preceded him in death on October 15, 2024.

Arnold Moore & Neekamp Funeral Home and Cremation Service were entrusted with arrangements. John was cremated and private, family services are planned.

He is survived by his daughter, Stacey Tidmore of Carrollton, Texas and a son, Greg Hurd of Mannford, Oklahoma. John was preceded in death by both parents and his wife, Terrie.
